ARTIFACT:

Stunning circa 1900 United States Naval Academy 14K gold (tested) enameled lapel pin. The round pin features a raised, 2-Dimensional gold anchor set against a navy blue enamel and gold striped background, around it reads: "UNITED STATES NAVAL ACADEMY", the outer edge features a nicely detailed rope embellishment. Only one I've ever seen.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1900.

SIZE:

Approximately 5/8" round.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

14K gold (1.3 pennyweights/2.1 grams) and enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with disc backing and stabilizing pin.

MARKINGS:

None.
