Beautiful WWII US Coast Guard (USCG) Officer Cap Badge in Sterling

This is a beautiful World War II United States Coast Guard officer cap badge in sterling silver. The badge is a gold-plated eagle bearing a sterling crest. He is perched on a horizontal sterling anchor and his talons come out at an angle as if to grasp the anchor.

Circa World War II.

Approximately 2-5/16" in height and 2-11/16" in width.

Gold-plated sterling silver.

Two screw posts with disc backings, stabilization teeth.
