ARTIFACT:

This is a sterling silver World War II United States Coast Guard officer sweetheart pin. The pin is an eagle perched upon a sideways anchor.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 15/16" in height and 1-5/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Sterling silver and plated sterling.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with come-under swivel locking catch (catch mechanism missing).

MARKINGS:

STERLING.

ITEM NOTES:

This is from a United States Coast Guard collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. RABL94 LDHX8/11 SDHX7/18

CONDITION:

7+ (Very Fine+): The pin shows some light to medium wear and tarnish and the locking mechanism to the catch is missing.
