ARTIFACT:

This is a beautiful World War II shoulder patch for the United States Army Mission to Iran. The "Mission" was in response to the Iranian Empire declaring neutrality when the war began. The patch was locally made and is in heavy gold bullion.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-7/8" in height and 2-5/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Velvet embroidered in cotton/silk and bullion threads, cotton backing.

7+ (Very Fine+): The patch has some light wear and some small areas of light tarnish to the bullion.
