ARTIFACT: Beautiful WWII United States Army South Atlantic Forces bullion shoulder patch. Following the attack on Pearl Harbor, the US Army South Atlantic Forces were established in Brazil, and likely where this patch was made. The gorgeous shoulder patch depicts lush green grass and three mountain tops under the starry night sky. Fully embroidered velvet in red and green threads with stars done in tinsel and mountains of bullion.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately 3" x 2 ½".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered velvet, silk/cotton/polyester threads, tinsel, bullion, canvas backing.

ATTACHMENT: To be attached to garment.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII US Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEJX15 LBFEX4/15 SeBFEX5/15

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): Patch shows minor to moderate wear, some oxidation/tarnish to tinsel/bullion and slight fading, was removed from garment.
