This is a beautiful circa early World War II Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) pilot wing. The wing is British-made, and is padded for service dress. This wing was removed from a uniform.
VINTAGE:Circa early World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-11/16" in height and 4-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool embroidered in silk/cotton threads, muslin backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:5/6 handwritten on reverse.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a Great Britain and Commonwealth militaria collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-JST-VAAH13 LBAEX6/13 SLAIEX7/15 SRET06/23
CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The wing shows only very light wear and has some writing on reverse.
