Description
This is a beautiful, numbered example of a rare World War II Chinese Commando wing as issued to OSS (Office of Strategic Services) operators in the China-Burma-India theatre. The wing is somewhat flat with some two-dimensional ridges in the feathers and a parachute at its center. The Chinese Characters on back translate to: ARMY PARATROOPER SPECIAL ATTACK FORCE.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 3-1/8" in length by 15/16" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin with two loops.
MARKINGS:0753 and Chinese characters.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The wing shows some spots of light wear and tarnish and has a nice lustre.
