Description
This is a beautiful CBI-made United States Army Air Forces Air Crew Ike jacket with bullion details and a theatre-made wing from World War II. The jacket has a silver wing, bullion-embroidered collar insignia, two ribbon bars, a discharge insignia, and four patches, two of them bullion. There is a buckle at the waistband, and the interior of the jacket is almost as attractive as the outside.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Size 4oL.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool with twill panel and details on the interior, bullion embroidery, silk-wrapped ribbon bars, silk insignia, two wool patches embroidered in silk/cotton and bullion, two wool patches embroidered in silk/cotton, brass and resin buttons, leather-wrapped belt buckle.
ATTACHMENT:Buttons, snaps and buckle at bottom of jacket; horizontal Y pin with come-under locking swivel catch on wing; clutch-back catches on bars.
MARKINGS:40L and some writing (see photo); BM SILVER on wing; inked marks on inside waist.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The jacket is in wonderful condition with light tarnish to the bullion and slight oxidation/rusting on belt buckle.
