ARTIFACT: This is a rare, identified (!!) Chinese Commando wing issued to Captain Edward S. Halbert, SN 1056750, OSS (Office of Strategic Services). Halbert hailed form El Paso, Texas and was trained by the OSS for the 1st Chinese Paratroop Regiment. The wing is numbered on reverse, and comes with a recycled period mail room card with identifying information for the wing written on reverse.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1" in height by 3-1/8" in width; card: 3" by 4-15/16".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, oaktag.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal swiveling wire safety-style pin with two loops.

MARKINGS: 0667 陸軍傘兵突?隊 (Amy Paratrooper Regiment)

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MAJCEV22 LBGIEX10/27/22

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The wing shows some light wear and has a nice luster; card shows age.
