Description
This is an extremely rare World War II Special Force wing as worn by OSS (Office of Strategic Services) operators in the European Theatre of Operations (ETO). The wing has a red center bearing the letters SF and would have been worn as a shoulder patch. There is a related OSS grouping being sold separately (please see link at bottom of page for information).
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/8" in height and 4" in length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool felt on wool embroidered in cotton/silk threads, muslin backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:Initials (?) written on reverse.
