Description
This is a World War II European Theatre of Operations United States Army Air Forces officer uniform made in Wales. The jacket has a wing and a ribbon bar, along with other insignia. The pants are named POWELL in the lining.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Jacket: size 40S; pants (no size tag): 28" inseam and 33" waist.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Jacket: wool, silk lining, sterling silver wing, plated brass insignia, silk-wrapped cardboard with celluloid bar, resin buttons; pants: wool, silk lining at waistband, muslin-lined pockets, resin buttons.
ATTACHMENT:Jacket: buttons (also on shoulders, under collar and at waistband and cuffs), clutch-back catches on most insignia and wing (spare backing in interior pocket); pants: button fly, belt loops.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The uniform is overall in good condition. The jacket has some small spots of wear to the lining and slight "iron marks" to the front with one button missing; the pants have an area of slight discoloration, mostly on the left thigh.
