Description
This is a beautiful model 1975 Spanish Air Force Officer dagger in excellent condition. The dagger blade has a central section bearing a "Fab'ca (Fabrica) de Toledo" mark. It comes in its original scabbard with decorative bands at the rings with a floral design on one side and a fleur-de-lis on reverse. The grip is celluloid wrapped in brass wire and the pommel is a crown shaped in a doorknob style. The guard has a small enameled wing and crown on one side and the Seal of Spain on the reverse and its arms end in similar doorknobs. The dagger is in excellent condition.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930.
SIZE:Approximately 19-1/2" in length and 3-3/4" in width (at guard); blade only: 14-3/8" in length (including ricasso) and 13/16" in width; scabbard only: approximately 15-3/8" in length and 1-1/16" in width; about 20-1/4" total length (while in scabbard).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Steel blade, brass wire-wrapped celluloid grip, gilt brass with enamel, felt; gilt brass and brass scabbard.
ATTACHMENT:Rings on scabbard.
