Beautiful High-Quality WWII US Merchant Marine Officer Hat Badge by H&H in Gilt Sterling

This is a beautiful, high quality World War II United States Merchant Marine officer hat badge in gilt sterling silver. The large and handsome badge is by H&H. It dates to circa 1943 and is made with "war shortages material" screw backs.

Circa World War II.

Approximately 2-1/2" in height and 2-7/16" in width.

Sterling silver, gilt sterling silver.

Double screw post with "war shortages material" flower-shaped disc backings.

H&H eagle maker mark.
