ARTIFACT: Beautiful, early 1930's United States Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer (CPO) hat badge in plated brass and with a heavy rope embellishment. The badge shows an anchor with a US Shield in the center bearing thirteen raised stars and vertical stripes below.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1930's

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/4" x 1-1/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Two-piece construction, plated brass

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with drop in locking swivel catch

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Coast Guard collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBEX16 LABEX7/16 SABEX4/17

CONDITION: 9- (Excellent+): The hat badge shows minor wear, nearly all of the plated brass details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
