This is a beautiful circa mid- to late 1920s United States Coast Guard chief petty officer hat badge with an applied rope. The badge has a gilt brass anchor and rope and a nickel-plated nickel shield.
VINTAGE:Circa mid-late 1920s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/4" in height and 1-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, nickel-plated nickel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with tongue-style C catch.
MARKINGS:None.
