ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful circa mid- to late 1920s United States Coast Guard chief petty officer hat badge with an applied rope. The badge has a gilt brass anchor and rope and a nickel-plated nickel shield.

VINTAGE: Circa mid-late 1920s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/4" in height and 1-3/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, nickel-plated nickel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with tongue-style C catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Coast Guard collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBJX13 LABEX5/13 SABEX3/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows some light wear only and has a handsome tarnish.
