This is a Unique Oversize 1930's - Early World War II USCG CPO Hat Badge Made Frome a Warrant Officer Hat Badge! Perhaps Made for a Pith Helmet?  
If only this Salty old Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Badge could talk to tell us the story!

VINTAGE: 1930s - Early World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/4" in height x 1-1/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt & Silvered Nickel.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing with two pins.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Coast Guard collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ZBEM23 LCIEX09/06/23

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The badge shows moderate wear, but it is in very fine condition.
