ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful circa 1916 Prussian Iron Cross 1st Class in screwback. This insignia has a patented affixation (DRGM). This was most likely made by the badge-maker Meybauer. On the badge is a crown up top, below that is the letter "W," and "1914" lies at the bottom.

VINTAGE: Circa 1916.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/4" in height x 1-3/4" in width x 1/4" in depth.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Iron and silver, with Tombak findings.

ATTACHMENT: Screwback.

MARKINGS: "W. D.R.G.M. 653146"

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Prussian Militaria collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VDEJX17 LEIEX03/17 SEEJX10/17

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): Light wear. Screwback works well, tarnish adds to the look.
