This is a beautiful circa 1916 Prussian Iron Cross 1st Class in screwback. This insignia has a patented affixation (DRGM). This was most likely made by the badge-maker Meybauer. On the badge is a crown up top, below that is the letter "W," and "1914" lies at the bottom.
VINTAGE:Circa 1916.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/4" in height x 1-3/4" in width x 1/4" in depth.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Iron and silver, with Tombak findings.
ATTACHMENT:Screwback.
