ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful American bicentennial commemorative George Washington plate by Wedgwood. The plate is numbered 1016 on the bottom, and is one of only 1,776 plates made for the occasion. The small dish is in Wedgwood blue china and shows the bust of Washington in relief at center.

VINTAGE: Circa 1976.

SIZE: Approximately 4-3/8" in diameter and 3/8" in depth.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: China.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: 1016 NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION EDITION LIMITED TO 1776 EXAMPLES WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND OB.
