ARTIFACT:
Lovely circa 1907 Hotel Thorndike in Boston Massachusetts bead plate by Wedgwood. The nicely detailed plate has a center that depicts two griffin-like creatures holding a shield topped with a crown and beneath a banner reads: HOTEL THORNDIKE, all details are done in green. The underside of the plate shows makers impressions and also reads: MADE FOR HOTEL THORNDIKE BOSTON RICHARD BRIGGS CO. BY JOSIAH WEDGWOOD & SONS LTD. ETRURIA: ENGLAND
