Beautiful 1948 Allentown Hospital School of Nursing Graduation Pin by Braxmar

Beautiful 1949 Allentown Hospital School of Nursing Graduation Pin in gold filled, enameled brass by Braxmar. The center features an enameled red cross with a brass embellishment that reads: "1949". The words around the center read: "SCHOOL OF NURSING ALLENTOWN HOSPITAL". The nursing school was operated by the hospital and trained over 3,500 nurses between 1899 and 198The last class of students, less than fifty, graduated in 198The cornerstone for the building, originally laid on May 6, 1950, has now been removed and its artifacts were put on display in the Allentown Hospital.
