This is a beautiful 1953 Mercy Hospital nursing graduation pin from Portland, Maine. Mercy Hospital was founded during World War I (in 1918). The pin is in enameled 10 karat gold and has the graduate's initials engraved upon reverse.
VINTAGE:Circa 1953.
SIZE:Approximately 7/8" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:10 karat gold, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch; loop.
MARKINGS:S.J.H. '53 10K LD.
