ARTIFACT:

This is a beautiful 1928 Citizens' Military Training Corps (CMTC) shooting medal from Plattsburg, New York by Dieges & Clust. The medal shows a marksman on its front and is engraved on the reverse with the words HIGH SCORE CO. "L" RIFLE 1928.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1928.

SIZE:

Approximately 3" in height and 1-5/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-filled, silk ribbon, brass pin.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal safety-style pin on bar.

MARKINGS:

G.F. DIEGES & CLUST with maker's mark.

7+ (Very Fine+): The medal shows light wear and tarnish and the ribbon has had moderate wear and fading.
