ARTIFACT:
This is a beautiful 1907 date-marked linen drawer or potpourri box made from London silver. The top of the openwork lid has an 18th century royal wedding scene complete with carriage. The box has three marks on the side: W.C., a lion and an M.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1907.
SIZE:
Approximately 1" in height and 3-3/16" in length and 2-7/16" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Silver.
ATTACHMENT:
Hinged lid.
MARKINGS:
1882-1907 on bottom; three marks (W.C., lion and M) on side.
