ARTIFACT:
This is a beautiful 1937 date marked nursing graduation pin from West London Hospital, England. The hospital was founded in 1856 under a different name and assumed the name West London Hospital in 1863. In the year that this pin was made, Queen Mary added an extension to the facility. The pin is in silver enameled with cobalt blue. The reverse of the pin shows the engraved name of the original recipient: M. Kelliher. In additional to a T-style pin and C catch, the pin also has a safety chain, which appears to have been a jeweler addition.
