ARTIFACT: Beautiful circa 1890's Mineral County, West Virginia Constable badge by C. D. Reese with a wonderfully detailed State Seal in the center. The shield shaped badge reads: "CONSTABLE MINERAL COUNTY" and the reverse shows a maker mark and great old repair to catch from the period of wear.

VINTAGE: Circa 1890's.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/8" x 1-3/4:.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickeled nickel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with "C" type period-of-use-repaired catch.

MARKINGS: "C.D. REESE 57 WARREN ST. N.Y."

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The badge shows minor to moderate wear, much of the nickel plating remains intact, overall excellent condition.
