ARTIFACT: This is a hardcover copy of "Aircraft Engines of the World 1949" by Paul H. Wilkinson. The book covers many engines from North America, Europe, Australia and the U.S.S.R in a two-page treatment with a black-and-white photograph facing a page of text. It also has several vintage advertisements from aircraft corporations. This volume is a revised version (7th edition) and has several black-and-white photographs and illustrations throughout. If you are an advertisement buff, check out the changes between this Alvis ad and the one in the 1946 version of this book that we have listed for sale separately (see link below for information).

VINTAGE: Circa 1949.

SIZE: 324 pages with black-and-white photographs; approximately 9-1/4" in height and 6-1/8" in width and 3/4" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Cloth-bound cover, glossy paper.

ATTACHMENT: Glued binding.

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The book has some faint water rings and other spots of discoloration to the front cover, and some wear along the edge of the cover; no rips, stains or writing inside.
