This is a 1980s submarine patch for the USS Norfolk (SSN-714). The Norfolk was launched at Newport News, Virginia on October 31, 198The ship's motto is embroidered at center: VI PER CONCORDIAM (strength through unity).
VINTAGE:Circa 1980s.
SIZE:Approximately 5-3/4" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester threads, mesh backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
