Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a 1970s patch for the United States Navy's USS Billfish SSN-676, a nuclear attack submarine. Philadelphia was launched from Groton, Connecticut on May 1, 1970, and decommissioned in 199The patch shows two fish with "swords" crossed above a missile.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1970s.

SIZE:

Approximately 4-5/8" in height and 4-1/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester threads, mesh backing, tape only to secure embroidery "tail".
