Description
This is a 1980s stewardess half wing for Safe Air Limited, a New Zealand airline and aviation maintenance dating from 196SAFE Air, the airlines' predecessor, started in 1950 and crossed the Cook Strait to link North and South islands (the word strait gave the S to the original SAFE acronym). The wing has a double arrow logo at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1980s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/2" in height and 2-5/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool embroidered in bullion threads, gold-plated brass with enamel, sackcloth backing.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The wing shows some light to medium wear, especially along edge, and has some areas of light tarnishing.
