ARTIFACT:
This is a circa 1970's jacket patch for the United States Air Force 78th Tactical Fighter Squadron, aka "Bushmasters". This squadron has roots in World War I as the 78th Reconnaissance Squadron. The patch shows the head of a hissing snake at center.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1970's.
SIZE:
Approximately 4" in diameter.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Fully embroidered cotton/polyester threads, partial mesh backing.
