This is a 1970's Northwest Airlines U.S. Air Mail five years of service pin by Jostens. Northwest had begun in 1926 as Northwest Airways but changed its name in 1933 to be allowed to carry air mail. The pin has a red, white and blue bull's-eye design at center bearing a smaller wing with a ruby chip at center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1970's.
SIZE:Approximately 1/2" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-filled with enamel, ruby chip.
ATTACHMENT:Post for clutch back, and stabilizing nub.
MARKINGS:JOSTENS 1/10 10K GF.
