Description
This is a presentation retirement badge for William E. Cash, a former Barnstable, Massachusetts police sergeant. Included with the badge are its case, a tie bar, and Massachusetts Police Association membership cards from the years 1974-197The reverse of the badge reads: SGT. WILLIAM CASH PRESENTED BY BARNSTABLE POLICE ASSN. July 1956 TO DEC. 1968.
VINTAGE:Circa 1968 and later.
SIZE:Badge: approximately 2-1/8" in height and 1-1/2" in width; case (folded): 4-7/16" in height and 2-15/16"in width; tie bar: 9/16" in height and 2-1/8" in width; each card: 2-5/16" in height and 3-7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Badge & tie bar: gold-plated brass with enamel; case: leather, plastic; cards: printed oaktag.
ATTACHMENT:Badge: vertical kick pin with drop-in locking swivel catch; tie bar: bar.
