Description
This is a circa late 1930s or 1940s Wakefield, Massachusetts Police Sergeant badge. The badge is in a custom die "clamshell" or "sunburst radiator" style. The badge is two joined portions: this way the main badge of a patrolman could have its top added or changed when a sergeant badge was needed.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1930s-1940s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-15/16" in height and 2-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated over chrome-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
