Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a well-used circa Vietnam War era United Stats Air Force 22nd Tactical Fighter Squadron jacket patch. The squadron flew the Republic F-105 Thunderchief and later the F-4 Phantom II, and was on high alert during the Cuban Missile crisis. The patch shows an angry bee by Disney at center wearing boxing gloves.

VINTAGE:

Circa Vietnam War.

SIZE:

Approximately 3-3/8" in height and 4-1/4" in width".

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester threads.

ATTACHMENT:

None.

MARKINGS:

"22 FS" written on reverse.
