This is a United States Air Force jacket patch for the 417th Tactical Fighter Squadron. The squadron was notably commanded by Chuck Yeager, the first person to break the sound barrier, from 1954-195The 417th then flew F-86F Sabrejets, flowed by the F-100 Super Sabres.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 3-7/8" in height and 4-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Cotton muslin embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads.
