This is a 1960s United States Army distinctive insignia for the Military Police Corps. The DI shows a battleaxe, scale, sword and key and reads ASSIST PROTECT DEFEND.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts with clutch-back catches.
MARKINGS:P24 MADE IN U.S.A.

CONDITION:8+ (Excellent): The DI shows hardly wear and has a light tarnish on reverse.
