This is a 1960s United States Army distinctive insignia for the 336th Military Police Battalion. The DI shows a a red sea lion with a drawn sword bearing a blue star and reads URBI ET ORBI (to the city and the world).
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK, Meyer maker's mark, union mark, 22M and MADE IN U.S.A.
