ARTIFACT: This is a 1960s distinctive insignia for the United States 8th Engineer Battalion. The DI is a red crest with eight horseshoes lined up on a silver border resembling a castle wall.

VINTAGE: Circa 1960s.

SIZE: Approximately 1" in height and 7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Two posts.

MARKINGS: SUSCO S-21.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAL90 LABX10/11

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The DI has some light abrasions and one small spot of enamel is missing.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
