This is a 1960s distinctive insignia for the United States 8th Engineer Battalion. The DI is a red crest with eight horseshoes lined up on a silver border resembling a castle wall.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1" in height and 7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:SUSCO S-21.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The DI has some light abrasions and one small spot of enamel is missing.
