This is a 1960s distinctive insignia for the United States 5th Engineer Battalion by Susco. The DI shows two crossed oars and an anchor (the insignia of the Engineers of the Army of the Potomac) beneath a bend referencing World War I service and reads COURAGE SKILL STRENGTH.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 1-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:SUSCO S-21.
