This is a 1960s distinctive insignia for the United States Army 8th Cavalry Regiment. The DI shows a rearing horse above a starred bar and reads HONOR AND COURAGE.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height 1-5/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:E-23.
