Description
This is a 1960s United States Army distinctive insignia for the 519th Military Police Battalion by Meyer. The DI shows an Oriental stone garden lantern to represent service in Okinawa and a wave to commemorate their amphibious landing in 194The DI reads SERVICE TO THE TROOPS.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/16" in height and 1-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK, maker's mark, 22-M and MADE IN USA.
