1960s US Army 2nd Air Reconnaissance Support Battalion DI

This is a 1960s United States Army distinctive insignia for the 2nd Air Reconnaissance Support Battalion. The DI shows a crest with two angular mountaintops and a heraldic lion and reads OCULI CULTUS SECRETI (the eyes of intelligence).

Circa 1960s.

Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1" in width.

Plated brass with enamel.
