This is a 1960s distinctive insignia for the United States 16th Engineer Battalion (aka "Catamounts") by Susco. The DI shows a European mountain cat (rampant) crossing a treadway bridge and reads SEMPER ALTIMO (always to the top). Over the cat's shoulder is the star from the Moroccan flag.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:S-21 MADE IN U.S.A.
