This is a 1960s United States Army distinctive insignia for the 15th Aviation Group. The DI shows a winged sword in front of a turret and reads FLYING MUSTANGS.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/16" in height and 15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts.
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK, 22M, Meyer maker's mark.
ITEM NOTES:The DI you receive will either be this one or one very similar. This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAL90 LBDX4/11
