1960s US Army 147th Aviation Battalion (Avn Bn) DI

This is a 1960s United States Army distinctive insignia for the 147th Aviation Battalion. The DI is shows a runway-like design topped by an hawk's head and reads LYNCEI AGMINIS (the hawk-eyed men of the combat troops).

Circa 1960s.

Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1-1/8" in width.

Plated brass with enamel.
