ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1960s pilot hat badge for Trans-Texas Airways (TTA). TTA was the first Texas airline, and was based in Houston, flying from 1947 to 1969 under this name. The airline started in under the name Aviation Enterprises. The badge is in nicely enameled sterling silver by Balfour.

VINTAGE: Circa 1960s.

SIZE: Approximately 2" in height and 2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Two posts with clutch-back, one screw post.

MARKINGS: B(alfour) mark, STER.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an airline collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VEJX12 LBGEX8/12

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows light wear and tarnish and a few slivers of the enamel are missing.
