This is a circa 1970 pilot hat badge for Texas International Airways (TIA). TIA flew from 1969 until 1982 when it merged with Continental. It was known before 1969 as Trans-Texas Airways. The badge is in sterling silver by Balfour.
VINTAGE:Circa 1970.
SIZE:Approximately 2" in height and 2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post.
MARKINGS:B(alfour) mark, STER.
