ARTIFACT:
1952 pint milk bottle from Mount Hermon Boys School, scarce institutional bottle. The Mt. Hermon Boys School is now Northfield Mount Hermon School (NMH) and is located in Gill, Massachusetts. Originally founded in 1881, the school aimed at offering the best quality education for adolescents without privilege, enrolling the sons of slaves and students from other countries, unheard of in private schools of the time. The front of the bottle reads: ONE PINT LIQUID MT. HERMON BOYS SCHOOL MT. HERMON, MASS. REGISTERED SEALED in embossed lettering, the bottom shows an embossed number 7.
