Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a rare circa early 1890s milk bottle from Lawnfield Farm in Henniker, New Hampshire. The bottle has a metal cap and reads THIS BOTTLE TO BE WASHED AND RETURNED on the reverse.

VINTAGE:

Circa early 1890s.

SIZE:

Approximately 8-1/2" in height 3-3/4" in diameter (at base).

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Glass and steel/iron.

ATTACHMENT:

Hinged lid.

MARKINGS:

POWELL & LOCKWOOD MAKERS 112 CHAMBERS ST NEW YORK on bottom.
