Description

ARTIFACT: Beautiful 1930’s – 1940’s Cold Spring Farms, Pennsylvania milk pint bottle with baby logo. The red painted logo shows a baby in a sitting position holding something outstretched in the viewer’s left hand, perhaps a milk bottle, below it reads: “1 PT. LIQUID. The other side of the bottle reads: “COLD SPRINGS FARM” in painted detail and below it reads: “REGISTERED SEALED II PA” in embossed lettering. Along the underside of the top rim it reads: “A BOTTLE OF MILK IS A BOTTLE OF HEALTH” also in embossed detail. The bottom of the bottle shows the bottler’s maker stamp “MTC” and the number ‘8’. Cold Spring Farms is listed in the United States National Register of Historic Places. Also known as the Peter and Louisa Morton Farmstead built in 1850 and Cold Spring Farms is still in operation today in Todd Township, Fulton County, Pennsylvania.
